2011 Odessa Sauvignon Blanc
The Rivera Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc was picked at a low sugar to maintain freshness and the distinct Sauvignon Blanc varietal aromatics…. pear, herbal, mineral, grassy and grapefruit aromas. The abundant acidity resulting from the cool Atlas Peak Appellation gives the wine a fresh and refreshing mouthfeel, with the distinctly varietal aromas continuing in the palate.

Well winemaker Karen Culler hit it out of the park with this one — this is one great Sauvignon Blanc! Appropriately named after the lady of the land, Mrs. Marilyn “Odessa” Rivera, who initiated the request for us to make this wine.
So what does summer taste like? Use your imagination: Pick a favorite perfect warm setting, a most excellent moment, meal or experience, and add this wine. That’s what summer tastes like.
As her husband Steven likes to say, “This wine is just as refreshing and interesting as the girl for which it’s named.”
With fewer than 50 cases produced, Odessa has limited allocation – $35.
