Wood River YMCA

"The Wood River YMCA is a shining community asset, delivering extraordinary daily impact through its programs, collaborations and leadership in Sun Valley, Idaho. Once a year, we gather our best friends for an evening of gratitude and appreciation, and to raise a little money. When the crowd saw the Rivera Vineyards Magnanimous Cabernet Sauvignon on the menu at this year’s event, the stature of the event soared! It was a very special evening, and thanks in part to the generosity of Steve and Marilyn Rivera, we raised well over half a million dollars which directly funds our mission throughout the community. Magnanimous is an apt description for the Riveras. Thank you."

Dan Turner, Chairman

United Friends of the Children

“Please accept our heartfelt thanks for donating Rivera Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon to the United Friends of the Children's CULTIVATE LA silent auction. Your participation in this very special inaugural event was essential to its success.

In supporting CULTIVATE LA, you are helping to sustain UFC's housing and education programs for foster youth – making it possible for them to find a first apartment, get a job, graduate from high school, and go to college. Thanks to your generosity, the foster youth we serve will have a safety net and support system in place to help guide them on the journey to adulthood.”

Polly Williams, President

Taylor Family Foundation

“Rivera Foundation has set a new standard in the world of charitable giving with regard to wine donations; their contributions have really raised the bar! Funds from the Rivera wine auctioned at our event will provide support for so many children with life-threatening illnesses and disabilities, and for their families in desperate need of respite – time they so sincerely deserve. We are forever grateful for the friendship and generosity of the Rivera family.”

Elaine Taylor, President

John Muir Health Foundation

“Thank you for your donation of Rivera Vineyards wine, which was enjoyed at our 2007 Award of Distinction Dinner. The dinner is a bi-annual event, which honors both a physician and a community member who have demonstrated great commitment to the John Muir Health Foundation’s mission of providing philanthropic support to John Muir Health’s varied campuses and programs. Thank you for making the evening a special one. We are honored that you have selected the John Muir Health Foundation as a recipient of your charitable support.”

Milton J. Smith, President

SportStrong Youth Sports Foundation

“We are extremely grateful for Rivera Vineyards’ generosity. Because of donations from organizations like yours, we are able to help underprivileged kids participate in sports — something they otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to do. Thank you, Steve and Marilyn!”

Dave Goldman, Founder

V Foundation

“The Rivera Vineyards wine and dinner package was one of the most successful packages during our live auction at the 2006 V Wine Celebration in Napa this August. It was so ‘hot’ that it was bought up before anyone else could react! Many thanks to the folks at Rivera Vineyards for their generosity.”

Bob Lloyd, Chairman

Special Olympics Northern California

"The generosity of Rivera Vineyards has helped Special Olympics Northern California create magical moments for individuals with developmental disabilities. Through your continued support we are able to provide our programs free of charge, allowing our athletes the chance to achieve their true potential. Thank you for “Inspiring Greatness.”

Jill Osur, Sr. Vice President

“On behalf of all who benefit from the Discovery Counseling Center’s programs that help build a healthier and safer community, we deeply appreciate your contribution of wine to our 12th Annual Golf Tournament.”

Kathy Chiverton, Executive Director

Family House

“On behalf of the Board of Directors at Family House I would like to personally thank you for your participation in the 15th Annual Cabernet for Connoisseurs. Wow, what a night! Through your donation of Rivera Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon we were able to raise a record amount of support for Family House and the families we serve.

The families we serve constantly remark that they don't know what they would do without Family House and that they are grateful beyond words. On their behalf, thank you for caring.”

Neil Aldoroty, M.D., Event Chair

Festival Opera

“On behalf of Festival Opera, I would like to thank you for your donation of Cabernet Sauvignon. Your generosity will help ensure the success of our season.”

Helen C. Sheaff, Executive Director

The Nicholas Colby Fund

“Everyone involved with the Nicholas Colby Fund thank you so much for your wine contribution. Without you support and support from other individuals and corporations we would not be able to help all of the children (and their families) unfortunately diagnosed with cancer, a degenerating condition, or other life threatening illness. The Nicholas Colby Fund has accomplished quite a bit since 2006 and it is so inspiring to see smiles on the faces of the children and their families who have not had many recent opportunities to smile. We believe we are truly making a difference — Helping Children Be Children — and we are so grateful for your support.”

Kimberly Abbas, Fundraising & Event Coordinator

Camp Rainbow Gold

“On behalf of Camp Rainbow Gold volunteers and staff — and hundreds of Idaho children diagnosed with cancer and their families — please accept our heartfelt thanks and continued appreciation for your generous support of the 8th Annual Share Your Heart Ball.

The children who benefit from this event will have wonderful, unforgettable experiences filled with anticipation and joy for a bright future. Your presence was an honor and you played a vital role in our success. We look forward to working with you again.”

Share Your Heart Ball Executive Committee

Friends of Camp Concord

“On behalf of Dan Ashley, ABC7, and the hundreds of low-income east bay kids we send to camp, thank you. With your support we raised $63,000 which will help us send nearly 400 kids to camp this summer.”

Dave Goldman, Chairman of the Board

Sawtooth Society

“On behalf of the Sawtooth Society’s Board of Directors, I want to personally thank you for your contribution to making the Sawtooth Society’s 2011 Sagebrush Soiree such an unqualified success. In order to continue the myriad of projects and activities of the Sawtooth Society it is critically important that we maintain and enhance the growth of the Soiree, our primary annual fundraiser.

I am very pleased to report that this year’s event raised over $86,000. The proceeds will be used to continue the Society’s ongoing efforts to protect the Sawtooth National Recreation Area’s natural, historical, and recreational qualities and to “Enhance Your Sawtooth Experience.”

Gary O'Malley, Executive Director

Blaine County Recreation District

“Thank you so very much for donating 1 magnum of 2005 Rivera Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon in support of the 17th Annual Galena & the Trails Winter Benefit. We truly appreciate your support.

Due to your generosity and that of literally hundreds of others, the event raised over $185,000 to support the continued maintenance of the community’s beloved Galena Lodge and the Trails. The Blaine County Recreation District does not use any tax dollars for Galena or the trails, which makes the funds raised at the Benefit especially critical.

The BCRD exists for our community and we constantly strive to make Blaine County an incredible place to live by providing quality, affordable recreational opportunities for all. This would not be possible without caring people like you."

Kris Stoffer, Development Director

Carondelet High School

“Thank you for your donation of a bottle of Magnanimous Cabernet Sauvignon for Carondelet High School’s 23rd Annual Drive Fore Education Golf Tournament, benefiting the Tuition Assistance program. We are looking forward to a wonderful day of golfing, camaraderie, food and fun!

Thanks to generous donors as yourself, Carondelet High School will be able to provide the funds necessary for many young women to continue their education during these challenging economic times.

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I am grateful for your commitment to and support of Carondelet High School, where for the past four decades the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet have offered a quality Catholic education to the young women in the community. Your involvement is greatly appreciated.”

Kathleen Russell, Director of Special Events

Oak Hill School

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, faculty and families of Oak Hill School, I am writing to thank you for your donation of a 1.5L bottle or 2007 Rivera Vineyards Magnanimous Cabernet Sauvignon in support of Stand up! For Kids with Autism.

Oak Hill is only able to be the idyllic learning environment it is because of friends like you who share our commitment to inspiring social, emotional, and intellectual growth in our students, supporting families affected by autism, and becoming a center for applied research and professional training. Ours is an issue that affects us all when statistics tell us that one in 88 children are now diagnosed annually with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Thank you for sponsoring Stand Up! And we look forward to joining you in “Standing Up, Getting Down & Laughing it Up for Kids with Autism” on April 26th.”

Susan Andrews, Executive Director

Sun Valley Center for the Arts

“On behalf of the Board and Staff at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, it is my pleasure to thank you for your participation in the 32nd annual Wine Auction. The weekend is one of the Valley’s favorite fundraising events as well as one of the most prestigious wine auctions in the country. The Wine Auction raises much-needed funds for arts and education, cultural programming and community outreach.

The Center for the Arts relies on the auction to provide 50% of its income every year, most of which is used to provide free programs to children in and out of the schools. The funds raised also support scholarships to students who want to further explore the arts and humanities. Thank you for recognizing the importance of supporting The Center and the annual Wine Auction. 2013 marks our 42nd year of service in the community, made possible by over three decades of strong support from our members, sponsors and vintners like you, who help us fulfill our mission to open hearts and minds through excellence in diverse arts programming. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for supporting the Sun Valley Center for the Arts and best wishes for an enjoyable summer.”
